- Race for the Cure
was conceived and implemented
in 1982 by the Susan G.
Komen Breast Cancer Foundation
to raise funds for breast

- Although October is nationally
recognized as Breast Cancer
Awareness Month, the local
Peoria Area Race for the Cure
is held annually on the Saturday
before Mother's Day. Seventy-five
percent of all Peoria Race
for the Cure dollars stay
in Central Illinois for local
and outlying area disbursement.
The remaining twenty-five percent
funds the research and grants
of the Komen Foundation.
This unique all women's race draws
support from thousands of participants,
volunteers, and sponsors.

- The RE/MAX network is proud
to be a major co-sponsor of the
Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer
Foundation. While attending
the race you will notice the RE/MAX
presence!

 |
- Jim Sipp places pink ribbons along
the race route in support of the efforts
of the runners, walkers, and volunteers
of Race for the Cure - be sure to watch
for them!
